Shipping Policy
Thank you for visiting and shopping at www.gjtonewood.com. Following are the terms and conditions that constitute our Shipping Policy.
Shipment processing time:
All orders are processed within 2-3 business days. Orders are not shipped or delivered on weekends or holidays.
If we are experiencing a high volume of orders, shipments may be delayed by a few days. Please allow additional days in transit for delivery. If there will be a significant delay in shipment of your order, we will contact you via email or telephone.
Credit Card Payment Processing
When you place an order using a credit card, we follow the standard practice of pre-authorizing the card for the amount of the order. The process of pre-authorizing tells us that you have sufficient funds for your order and puts a hold on that amount for approximately 6 days. When your order ships, we get paid. This payment process is called post-authorizing. This process clears the pre-authorization and actually takes the money from your card (or bank account if you are using a debit card).
If your order never ships (because of a backorder, for example), the pre-authorization clears after anywhere from 6-30 days, depending on your banks policy. If your order ships and the amount of the order is less than the pre-authorization, the actual amount of the order is charged to the card and the pre-authorization clears.
If you add to an order, your bank sometimes makes it necessary for us to pre-authorize the card a second time so that we can be assured of getting our funds when the order ships. In this situation, the original pre-authorization is not cleared (the credit card companies give us no way to do this) so that in effect funds are tied up twice on your card for a short time. We will only pre-authorize your card a second time if the items being added to the order are material in value.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
1. Taxes/Import Duties: The charges for your countries taxes or import duties ARE NOT INCLUDED in your payment to us for your purchase or shipping. THESE COSTS, IF ANY, ARE YOUR ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITY. It is your obligation to understand your country's customs and import rules and restrictions. If a package is returned to us because you are unable to pay for customs clearance and taxes, or otherwise clear a package through customs, or if you refuse delivery, you will be charged for the return shipping charges and for any other charges accrued as a result. These charges can be substantial. Reimbursement for merchandise will occur only after it is returned to GJ Tonewood.
2. Signature: All international deliveries require a signature for receipt of the package.
Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout.
International Shipping –
A custom shipping charge will be added to your order. You will be notified of the additional shipping charge. Once the payment for the additional shipping is processed, your order will be released.
WHEN WILL MY ORDER SHIP?
We do our best to ship orders per the schedule below. If we run into any significant delay, we will contact you right away. Otherwise, your patience is greatly appreciated. Your order will ship complete when all items are in stock.

GJ Tonewood, LLC, requires a delivery contact name and phone number with complete street address including apartment, suite, or unit number if applicable.
Orders shipped UPS that require an address correction by UPS will be charged an additional address correction fee per package.

- Fully insured against damage, loss, or theft.
- Online tracking service. UPS Quantum View notification emailed after your order ships.
- Duties & Taxes will be your responsibility to pay.
USPS Priority Intl
- Transit Time: 2-3 weeks not including Customs clearance.
- Usually clears Customs cheaper than UPS.
- Fully insured against damage, loss, or theft.
- Online tracking service. USPS notification emailed after your order ships.
- Duties & Taxes will be your responsibility to pay.
Fedex
- Transit Time: 1-3 business days.
- Door-to-door service with Fedex Customs clearance.
- If you need it fast, this is the one to choose.
- Fully insured against damage, loss, or theft.
- Online tracking service. Fedex notification emailed after your order ships.
- Duties & Taxes will be your responsibility to pay.
DUTIES & TAXES
You may be charged and are liable to pay any inbound Customs duties and taxes which your local Customs authority deems appropriate. These charges are tariffs or taxes imposed by your country/government on the value of imported goods on your order. The charges for your countries taxes or import duties ARE NOT INCLUDED in your payment to us for your purchase or shipping. THESE COSTS, IF ANY, ARE YOUR ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITY. It is your obligation to understand your country's customs and import rules and restrictions.
- Duties and taxes are not included in the shipping costs or in the price of the goods purchased from GJ Tonewood, LLC.
- What is payable depends on the laws and tariff rates of each specific country. Inquire with your country’s Customs office.
- Once the duties and taxes are fully paid to the Customs agency in your country, the goods will continue their deliver to you.
- We will NOT falsify export documents to declare a less than actual value of the goods we export.
PO BOXES
GJ Tonewood does not ship to P.O. Box addresses internationally. All packages require a consignee's contact name and complete street address including apartment, suite or unit number if applicable. The consignee's telephone number is required. This is necessary to facilitate fast and easy Customs clearance. Domestic PO Boxes must be shipped via USPS.
