Padouk has an open and straight grain with a coarse texture. It is easy to work with and glues and finishes well. Padouk offers an extremely beautiful, exotic look to your next custom build. While tonally, and visually similar to Indian Rosewood, it has a striking reddish/orange color when freshly cut creating a stunning visual effect. Its unique coloring will darken with exposure to light.
