Indian Laurel

(Terminalia elliptica)

Sometimes referred to as Indian Walnut. Varies from light brown to dark brown with darker, nearly black streaks. Sapwood is a pale pinkish color, clearly demarcated from the heartwood. Grain is generally straight or slightly interlocked or irregular. With a medium to coarse uniform texture and low natural luster.
